Raptor Photography
Plates are great for comparing different plumages, study plumage details and to compare flight silhouettes. On the other hand photographs are better suited for presenting coloration and overall pattern. Photographs also can provide a better feeling of what the bird in question looks like under natural conditions (light, background, plumage wear, etc.)
